Motion Controlled Gaming Is Set To Hit Big

June 09, 2009

Microsoft's Project Natal - Control the Xbox, play games with your body and nothing else. No controllers. Just you. No thank you - I'm lazy.

Sony's Motion Controller - Seems fun, seems interesting - probably just for a while. Just like the Wii, you just want to try it out and that's it. I'm too lazy to wave my arms, stand up and swing, jump, bla bla.

Me stick to regular wireless controllers. When I play games, I want to relax and barely move, just my fingers only.

All this motion comotion with the Wii, Project Natal, SMC is strictly for young kids and grand nys and pas.

Lords Of The Rings Trilogy Blu-ray Now For Pre-order

April 19, 2009

Amazon has started accepting pre-orders of LOTR Trilogy Blu-ray disc collection. It's $69.99. The only problem is it's the Theatrical release and not the Extended release. Extended release might come out at a later time.

Fans have been waiting a long time for this, no doubt that I just might pick up a copy myself. I already have the DVD Trilogy Extended Edition.

Cheap Nikon Wireless Remote From DealExtreme

March 31, 2009

My Nikon wireless remote came in yesterday from DealExtreme after almost a month of waiting, shipped from Hong Kong. It was $3.99 and free shipping, and the remote works, worth the wait. There's only one button on the remote, which serves as a shutter button, to take pics. Before using it, you must set the Nikon in shooting mode/Quick-response remote. It works so well that you don't need to aim it at the InFrared reciever on the front of the camera. It works while you're behind your camera also. Even standing behind the camera over 10 feet away, it still works. Standing in front of the camera at over 25 feet away still works. I'm not sure how much further it could go, haven't tried it outside yet. The remote has a hole in the bottom corner to insert a lanyard.

Here's a list of all the Nikon cameras that work with this Remote as per the instructions it came with:

  • D40
  • D40X
  • D70S
  • D70
  • D50
  • D80
  • 8400
  • 8800
  • F75
  • F65
  • F55
  • N65
  • N75
  • NUVIS S
  • LITE TOUCH

The World's Brightest Flashlight; Also The Most Dangerous

March 28, 2009

I've owned a few very bright flashlights rated at 3 Watts or more, one of them cost $40 which I thought was very bright. I knew they could make much brighter ones but not dangerous also? Take a look at this $300 flashlight:

It's so bright, it can cook eggs, light cigs, burn paper...etc. Try not to point at people's faces...LOL.
