Microsoft wants you to enjoy their new upcoming Xbox Experience and Live! The update require at least 128mb of free space, but some gamers who own the Arcade version is left out it does not include a hard drive. The memory unit that comes with the Arcade pack is 256mb, enough for the update but most users will not have the free space required. So they are offering Arcade owners a REFURBISHED 20GB hard drive for $20 bucks. When will the hard drive ship? There is no indication of when it will ship or how long it will take.
UPDATE: I have received the tracking number from UPS at the request of MS / HARTE HANKS. That must be Microsoft. They shipped the hard drive the next day, and will be here Monday. 3 day delivery time. Not bad at all.
How do I locate my Console Serial Number and Console ID
Each Xbox 360 console has a unique, 12-digit serial number and a separate 12-digit Console ID . The Console Serial Number and Console ID are both located in the System Information area of the Xbox 360 Dashboard:
- Turn on your Xbox 360 Console
- Scroll right to the System area. This may also be System Settings depending on your version of the dash
- Select Console Settings
- Select System Info
- Write down your Console Serial Number and Console ID
